Story Teller — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Story Teller application (the "App") provided by Mellivo OÜ ("we", "us", operating the "Mellivo" / mellivoai.com service). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use it only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for your use. The App is made mainly for parents and guardians, and is not directed at children under 13; stories may be played to children by the account holder, who supervises that use.

2. The Service

Story Teller generates personalized children's stories using AI and narrates them in a voice you record. Features and limits may change over time.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us of any unauthorized use.

4. Credits, Free Taster, and Payments

• The App offers one-off credit packs and auto-renewing subscription plans. New accounts start with a small free taster (1 story credit + 1 voice credit).
• Plans: Weekly ($7.99, 7 stories + 2 voices per week), Monthly ($14.99, 30 stories + 5 voices per month) and Yearly ($59.99, 365 stories + 20 voices per year); local prices are shown in the store before you buy. A plan's allowance is used before any credits you bought and does not carry over to the next period.
• Subscription billing: payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting your Story Teller account does not cancel a subscription.
• Subscriptions, story credits, voice credits, and the one-time ad-free unlock are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Story and voice credits are consumable; the ad-free unlock is a non-consumable one-time purchase.
• Credits do not expire and have no cash value. They are a limited license to use the App's generation features — not a stored-value, money, or payment instrument — and are non-transferable. A story costs one credit per selected voice.
• Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their policies; we generally do not process refunds directly. Where a generation fails on our side, the credits it consumed are automatically returned to your balance.
• Price changes apply to future purchases only.

5. Your Content

• You retain ownership of the content you provide (voice recordings, story inputs) and the stories generated for you.
• You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the App, as described in the Privacy Policy.
• You confirm you have the right to record and use the voice you provide, and you consent to its processing for voice narration.

6. AI-Generated Content

Stories are generated by AI and are provided for entertainment. They may contain inaccuracies or unexpected content despite our safety measures. Parental discretion is advised; please review stories before sharing them with your child. We are not responsible for AI-generated content beyond our reasonable safety efforts.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the App unlawfully; upload voices you have no right to use or that impersonate others without consent; reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the service; or create harmful, infringing, or abusive content.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, its software, design, and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms grant you no rights in them except as needed to use the App.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the App or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the courts of Tallinn (Harju County), Estonia.
